Many of us woke up to the coldest morning of the fall season so far with lows in the 20s. With a lot of sunshine and a return of a southerly breeze this afternoon, temps will rise anywhere from the upper 50s north and east to the lower 70s southwest. Tonight wont be quite as cold with a few passing clouds. Look for lows in the 30s and 40s. Tomorrow features a warmer start and a similar day temperature-wise. A cold front comes through early in the day, with a blustery north and northwest wind to follow for much of the day. Look for highs to range from the lower 50s in the north to the mid 60s in the south. The real colder air doesnt start to invade until Thursday night and Friday. Temps will dip back into the 20s Friday morning and only reach the 40s for highs on Halloween. Temps will likely be in the 30s during the prime trick-or-treating time Friday evening. Saturday morning will feature a cold start in the 20s again. So if you are tailgating early in Lincoln, bundle up. Well see highs push into the upper 40s and lower 50s. Warmer temps will move in on Sunday into the 60s. A cold front Sunday night, brings a chance of showers Sunday night into Monday and a gradual cooldown for early next week. Heading to the ballot box on Thursday, look for a pretty typical election day with temps in the 50s. Editors Note: The High School Football Forecast is for tomorrow. SInce Ill be gone Thursday, I wanted to post it today.
