Many of you already know that my mother had a serious fall a few days ago and fractured her hip. She is 88 years old and so any sort of fall is a concern. Anyway, she had hip replacement surgery yesterday afternoon, and the surgery went very well. Blood loss was minimal and damage was low due to her small size/light weight. Everything went very smoothly. Shell be in the hospital at least 3 more days, undergoing therapy, and since they typically don’t discharge on Sunday, Monday is likely earliest she’ll be discharged. If she has any kind of post op problems, that would be delayed. Due to smooth nature of the surgery, though, that seems unlikely. She will almost certainly go to a rehab facility, and have no idea how long shell be there. So grateful for the steady hand of the doctor and Gods protection over my mom
