Many of you are going to take issue with what I say here but it must be said all the same. Still it should be noted that religion and spirituality are not the same. Africans are the inventors of modern civilization. Spirituality being a major component. But, in my opinion, all religions today are the misuse of African spirituality. I however tend to look at the psychological affect that religion has on our people particularly because our problems are unique compared to all other cultures. We choose praise and worship over liberation and rebellion. We worship the god of our former slave holders and we find no contradiction in our loyalties to pulpit pimps who perpetuate false teaching. To add insult to injury, we quickly indoctrinate our children with this collective insanity thus solidifying the next generation in utter confusion. Church is good entertainment, a great show, a great stir of emotions, but a waste of unified energies and and drain on what should be strong group economics. Which is one reason, but not the main reason why, I people still know no liberation... Still are at the mercy of white supremacy.. Still waiting on miracles... Still enslaved mentally... Still lost... Still confused... Still .... Still ... Still... with no end in sight. So how bout we teach the youth the truth and let them decide what to believe? Teach them about their history before slavery. Teach them about their African spirituality which was here long before all the worlds religions. Teach them how the same people who enslaved their ancestors also introduced to them Islam and Christianity. Teach them the bloody and violent history of religion and its institutions. Teach them the truth. Anything else is just another form of child abuse. For example. ...if I tell my woman everyday that she aint shit without me, youre going to call that psychological abuse. So why then would you tell your children they aint shit without Jesus or Muhammad? That too is psychological abuse. But ok... Im done for now. Go ahead and leave your protest to this post. Im not surprised nor alarmed. But just because you disagree...doesnt make you right. Thanks. Peace
