Many of you never knew us when we only had two kiddos, but we did! Those two little boys had such a huge heart for adoption and wanted to give a home to as many children as we could. I remember Joshua bringing me his piggy bank when we were making the decision to adopt Nathaniel, Lydia and Joseph and didnt have any idea how we would pay for their adoption. I remember the whole family voting on building a swimming pool or adopting Jonah, who we knew we would probably only have for a short time because of him being so sick. The entire family chose Jonah. They truly did make sacrifices and even though I know they love their adoptive siblings, I must say it hasnt always been an easy road. I love every one of our children, even the ones who have hurt us deeply and who we havent heard from in years. I would adopt each of them again. I can relate to this article because I am both a biological daughter with an adopted sister and the mother of 21 adopted children. Adoption can be very messy, and it is filled with heartache at times. Redemption truly is the beauty in it all.
