Many people try to call the seventh day Sabbath (Saturday) the "Jewish Sabbath" but here are some facts that show the flaw in this logic: 1. The Sabbath was established at creation Gen 2:1-3 2. It was written down at Mt Sinai (approx 1450 BC) 3. The first use of the word "Jew" is not found until 2 Kings 25:25 (over 800 years after Mt Sinai) 4. The first use of the word "Jewish" is not found until the time of Nehemiah in Neh 5:1 (over 1000 years after Mt Sinai) So since is clear that the Sabbath came long before there were Jews or a Jewish nation, how could the Sabbath logically be called the "Jewish Sabbath"?
