Many people will not stay in prayer long enough for the Holy Spirit to carry them into a higher place of fellowship with the supernatural. Often when you speak of prayer, some think of it only as a time of petitioning God for a particular need or request. Prayer goes much farther than that! Jesus said, watch and pray lest you enter into temptation. That tells us that there is a strength, alertness and insight all gained to a way of escape found in prayer. He is also saying that through prayer the lustful ways of the flesh can be subdued and brought under control to that which pleases God! When we read the, our Father prayer, it is filled with praise, honor, worship, submission and communion [Kingdom]. Time spent in prayer can increase the sensitivity of the hearing of Gods voice and bring you to visions and revelations. Prayer that is filled with praise and worship brings the spirit man into a place of fellowship with the mysteries of God. God does not only want us to be students of His Word, but He also wants us to be students of prayer! Prayer will cause the Holy Spirit to ignite the Word of God in you. Some may say, If I pray very long it will look like doubt. Not if you are praying in the name of Jesus and you are flooding the praying with praise and adoration! Through fervent prayer we become more sensitive to the operation of the Holy Spirit. God is a Spirit and the higher we allow His spirit to carry us, the more we will come into fellowship with the things of the Spirit! Prayer will bring healing to the land!! PRAY!!
