Many students around the country aspire to be selected for one of the nations service academies. Few are chosen. Two members of the Class of 2014 at Roosevelt High School are among that select group. Seniors Connor Gillette and Nick Biancalana have accepted appointments to the US Naval Academy and US Air Force Academy, respectively. We caught up with both students to talk about what motivated them to attend a service academy, how their experience at DMPS prepared them, and what advice they have for students with similar aspirations.
