Many techs slave many hours over their builds to get just a few - TopicsExpress

Many techs slave many hours over their builds to get just a few more feet of range than they would have otherwise. These techs are sadly mislead by popular airsoft culture. According to statistics recorded by Red Raven Airsoft, 87% of airsoft outs occur within 112ft of range. Many airsoft operators often engage multiple contacts within a firing lane, but due to hopup ballistics, can only engage 1 combatant at a time. The answer to this epidemic is the MRAC mod (Multiple Range Air Cylinder). This is the mod the big HPA companies dont want you to know. With the MRAC mod, bb ballistic elevation is adjusted through air pressure variances as opposed to backspin. Its in the same vein as PSI adjustment for HPA setups. By adding more ports to your cylinder, you can adjust the air volume of your AEG gearbox. This is also an efficient way to bleed some FPS for the degenerate CQB players out there. You can fine tune your MRAC by rotating the cylinder within the gearbox. By having variances in air pressure, some bbs will travel 200ft, some 150ft, some 100ft, and some 50 ft, depending on the size and spacing of ports in the cylinder. This offers the operator a multiple range force multiplier. Instead of having to aim at 4 individual bad guys, the AEG will be shooting at multiple longitudinal vectors within the same firing lane. Shotguns have a lateral horizontal cone of effectiveness, MRAC guns have a longitudinal vertical cone of effectiveness. This is extremely effective at combating peon wave doctrine, and is also an established simulation crowd control technique. By engaging all targets in a firing lane, the second, third, and forth waves of peons are outted, and the remaining peons will flee for cover. Phoenix Airsoft Works has pre-fabricated MRAC AEG cylinder kits, as well as a limited edition patriotic MRAC cylinder kit (additional $75). At $299.99, there isnt a more affordable way of combating the HPA menace, or your airsoft foes in general. For an additional $40, we will install the highly recommended coffee filter mod on your MRAC.
