Many thanks, once again, to all of you who sent birthday wishes. The planned celebrations went as planned but the results were not as expected... Sixty five appears to be full of mandatory changes. For example: Firstly, I came down to breakfast to find no dead marines... there were three with only slight flesh wounds. Looks like the combined forces of Laphroaig, Tullamore and Jura had whipped my ass. Thirty years ago, there would have been no survivors :( Secondly, the postman stuffed as great pile of junk mail through the letterbox and walked away with a big grin on his face... The first three leaflets I looked at were for local funeral parlours... How do they KNOW? Thirdly, a to be signed for letter that arrived yesterday during the only 30 minute period I was out of the house didnt arrive as requested today. I now have to wait until Monday because the postal service is so busy over the next couple of days. Could this be my first ever speeding ticket from our Scottish trip after a perfect record of 48 years of being a model driver with a spotless licence?. Could this be time to fake my own death for a few months? Lets see... are there any cheap canoes for sale on eBay?
