Many thanks to Dan McCollam for leading the Mission School of Prophecy. Last night’s class focused on Arts and Entertainment, prophesying God’s blessing and divine purpose in this strategic metreon. Tammy Hawkins shared how the Lord placed on her heart to pray for a celebrity for two years and she was able to meet that person and share the love of Jesus. Becky King taught valuable insights on prophetic journaling. Several class members shared testimonies about prophesying restoration in family relationships and seeing people come back to Christ. I was honored to share a testimony from last month’s class which focused on prophesying the return of missing children. My group led by Joshua Cawley was assigned to a missing child in Miami, Florida. About a month later, I checked on the child’s status with the Center for Mission Children, and was informed the child had been safely found. Praise the Lord! (And thanks to all who were praying.) Moral: Never give up hope! I was also asked to share Mom’s and my class assignment to prophesy about something on the local level that would happen within the month. On Nov. 21, 2014, we both had a prophetic word there would be record rainfall in December, although there had been very little rain up to that point. On Dec. 12, 2014, the National Weather Service for San Francisco and Monterey area tweeted: “@NWSBayArea Yesterdays rain total of 3.23 in San Jose. Its the wettest December day ever recorded at the site. Records back to 1893. #BayAreaStorm”. To God be the glory! Thanks to Mom’s and Dans encouragement to share the rain prophecy testimony outside my family. Indeed, testimonies give honor and praise to God and encourage people. I have learned a lot in this school and highly recommend this practical, equipping class to anyone who has a desire to exercise their God-given prophetic gifts and callings. Dan is truly a gifted teacher whom God has used powerfully here at the Mission Church and at Bethel and worldwide.
