Many years ago, I was talking to Aki about music. She was chiding me for not playing enough new music to our son, who was raised on a steady diet of AC/DC, Cold Chisel, & Rolling Stones. I complained that all the new bands just didnt have the same punch as 60 - 80s rock. I challenged her to find me something new that I could actually enjoy listening to. She introduced to OK Gos second album, Oh No -- and I was hooked! Unfortunately, the band became famous for its no-cut music video. Pretty soon, improving on the previous video seemed to become more important than maintaining the quality of the music. Their music doesnt have the same soul that their earlier stuff had but their videos still impress.
