Many years ago my friends and I were walking around town hanging out doing a whole lot of nothing ...... it started to rain .... and we started to head home when one of my friends boyfriend spied a really cool 2 tone blue 1958 Chevy Impala driving toward 3rd and Cherry ...He said ...hey ...thats Donni Donnan he just got out of the army and hell give us a ride ......He did .... I climbed in the back seat right behind the drivers seat ..... we stopped for a red light and I looked at his reflection in the dark under the light with the shadow of raindrops on his face ...and in my heart I I knew this man was going to be my husband one day ...the father of my child ... I just knew it .....he passed away on may 1st 2002 .... and had that illness not taken him we would celebrate the New year together tonight ...... I just want to wish the man no one else could compare to a Happy Birthday in Heaven ....
