Many years have passed but Im still so grateful that I was chosen to deliver this message and song to the city we all love, my 2nd home NEW ORLEANS!! I wrote this song with homies Pallo Da Jiint @WayneBigBoutItBerry to make a timeless masterpiece!! It became the Hurricane Katrina Anthem!! I had over 1 million views on the many social sites it was on way back like myspace at the time!! This song/video captures the tragedy of Hurricane Katrina aftermath!! It brought a lot of folks back home and Im still delivering copies to folks today as everywhere I go, I have to sing it!! I answered and replied to over 10,000 emails of people pouring out their emotional feelings after hearing this song!! Like I said, I was just the messenger !!! This song is for Nola and will always be!!! In Dedication to hurricane Katrina Anniversary, I have to remind you all thru this video of the soldiers that we lost from Nola to MISSISSIPPI !! I remember seeing the man tell the story of his wife getting wiped away by the water as he reached out to save her!! It still tears me up today to know what the many people went thru and how the government fkd up!!! I swear the triumph was when them Saints won that Super Bowl!! The city triumph and it lifted some of the weight off their shoulders!! I was there!! I heard the city cry out joy!!! Im grateful I was part of the historys healing!! We performed this song at 1st major concert back in the SUPERDOME after Katrina with Mary J Blige following Zulu & my own Superlounge at Essence 08 & 09. It was packed and we 2nd lined thru the some!! I accepted the key to the city!! Im addicted to the Chocolate City!! I so love NOLA!! Im glad the city came back!!! There aint no place like it!!! LONG WAY FROM HOME
