Marathon runners - take a look at this. This echoes my feelings; Its not all about 6 runs a week, running junk miles. Marathon training is about rest, hydration, nutrition, intervals, sprints, hills, tempo, LSD (long slow duration) and YES, at last!!! Core strength, weights, functional training, circuit training etc. My advice, dont put all your eggs in one basket! Prepare in ALL areas. Lou (PB - Worcester Marathon 2014 (its hilly 3hrs 38mins)
