March 18, 2014 Dear Friends of Wyoming Catholic College: I am very saddened to report the devastating news that two young daughters of a Wyoming Catholic College faculty member, Dr. Sean Lewis, were killed in a car accident near Lander this morning. In spite of heroic attention by emergency and medical personnel, Olivia, 6, and Emma, 3, died in their parents arms. Informing you of this tragedy is important to all of us at the College because we are, first and foremost, a tight-knit faith community rooted in Gods love, even in the midst of tragedies that our so difficult to comprehend. The College has issued an official press release here. Please keep the Lewises and their extended families in your prayers. This evening, at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Rosary Church in Lander, we will gather to pray for the little angels, Olivia and Emma, and their family. I ask you to join us in spirit, wherever you are, at that time. I also ask you to keep our faculty, staff, and students in your prayers. We have faith in our Lord, and in His resurrection, which we must contemplate at times like this. We do thank God for the gift of faith. May God bless and keep you and yours.
