March 26, 2014 Bahamas Award Scheme Expedition (BASE’13) June 27th – July 9th, 2014 Inagua Update #1 The Governor General’s Youth Award Programme (GGYA), extends an invitation to your unit to be a part of the Bahamas Award Scheme Expedition (BASE), June 27th to July 9th on the island of Inagua. The cost is $200.00 for all participants. BASE 2014 will accommodate all three levels, Bronze, Silver and Gold as well as the Gold Residential Project. All fees are non-refundable and includes transportation to Inagua, meals, accommodations and BASE exclusive t-shirt. BASE will provide the following benefits: Experience adventure and discovery on a different Bahamian Family Island. Create an opportunity for participants from different islands to share skills and experiences. Encourage young people to be disciplined, responsible and use their initiative and be resourceful. To give them the opportunities to receive training in the adventurous journey section and fill the requirements for that section. Opportunities for achievement and fulfillment in challenging situations. An opportunity for the Gold participants to complete the Gold residential project.
