March Session And The Tactics Of Private Schools : (POinT Of ViEw By Mohammad Ulfat Anjan) Soon after the Govt. announced the change of the session due to flood havoc ,the heads of the private schools began to feel a mild headache disturbing their cherished sleep with weird nightmares.The Govt. decision received a mixed response from the concerned audience but finally everyone had to obey the order.But the private school heads and the coaching mongers began to pass sleepless nights and finally the private school organization came up with a decision of their own —the decision of mass promotion upto 7th standard.But this decision too recieved criticism from many intellectual minds .The question began to haunt every mind that why these private dealers were forced to take this decision .But the answer is as aparent as light from darkness. Human misery values little to the money worshippers.Everyone knows that 80% of population was badly affected by the fatal floods and student community too falls in this percentage.No doubt the change in Session was going to negatively affect atleast half of the current session but welfare is better than warfare.Students lost homes ,books ,schools and all other delicacies so it was inhuman to drag them into polluted and facility-lacking exam centres.That is why the decision was taken at the higher level.But was this decision heartily welcomed by the private body and coaching mongers who honour money more than humanity.When Govt. declared that no fee should be had from students for the months of Sep. and Oct. why were the directions violated then? Again when it was announced that the exams shall be had in march why were students forced to appear in exams in the name of mere tests and forced to submit admission as well as exam fee?Why were the students made to purchase books of new classes and forget about the old material?Why were coaching announcements made in many private schools?Why was the process of new admissions started before the completion of the session?These questions contain answers as well and the answer is simple —Business is business whether it is spring or winter.Here i am using spring and winter symbolically. But the decision and tactics of these private schools is worstly affecting the honour and reputation of Govt. schools where everything is decided not by the teacher or parent but by the Govt.If Govt. remains silent on the issue it will soon witness their schools as empty centres where only ghosts would welcome the visitor for all parents would be forced to knock at the doors of the private institutions and bid a farewell to Govt. institutions for ever......
