Marching for Genital Autonomy in Cologne Germany! From David Smith of Genital Autonomy - Its a Personal Choice: Greetings from John Warren and David Smith in Cologne where earlier today we marked the second anniversary of the Cologne ruling following a successful conference at the University of Cologne yesterday which was well attended. We met many old friends and made lots of new friends. As well as the German delegates, there were those attending from France, Switzerland and Austria and Elizabeth Noble from Panama. Unfortunately Lena from Copenhagen was unable to be there due to ill health, we wish her a speedy recovery. The weather was kind to us today for the outdoor meeting outside the court building where the ruling was made in 2012. We had been expecting rain but the heavy rain held off until after the event. It was a good demo outside the court house where Victor read the emails from Richard and Marilyn to the crowd, then we started the march into Cologne and gathered in the square in front of the Cathedral. The march took almost an hour during which we received the texts from Richard telling us about the event in London. We had 2 police cars in front and one behind and outriders either side stopping the traffic. There were well over 50 people on the march. The police and everyone we met were good humoured. We then had the next round of speeches outside the cathedral. We would like to say a big thank you to our German hosts for their wonderful welcome, their hospitality and good organisation. We were also pleased to see so many new young recruits into our movement. We feel that the future is secure in their hands. We both look forward to returning to Cologne next year.
