Marco-polo Rubio wants to SHUT DOWN the government, because of some sloppy wording in Obamacare about an aspect of ACA called risk corridor. The basic idea of the risk corridor program is to make sure that in the early years of Obamacare, insurers dont get wiped out by unexpectedly high medical costs and dont get windfalls from unexpectedly low costs. (and you KNOW theyd squeal if this protection WASNT there). So Rubio wants to issue a full-blown attack against the funding of this provision, as part of the battle for the continuing resolution (to run our government) that hits the fan Dec. 11th. We KNOW there have been problems here and there that crop up with ANY large piece of legislation, as the kinks appear that need to be ironed out.
