Mardi Gras festival celebrates the Cajun heritage of local community Holy Trinity Catholic Church is holding its 3rd Annual Mardi Gras festival. This event celebrates the Cajun heritage of the Mont Belvieu community, plus it has a religious connection. Holy Trinity’s Mardi Gras is a family-friendly festival held the Sunday afternoon before Ash Wednesday--February 15, 2015. The event will be held on church grounds at 3515 Trinity Drive in Mont Belvieu (west of the post office on Eagle Drive). Festivities begin at 11:30 a.m. and conclude with a Mardi Gras parade at 4 p.m.. A gumbo dinner is available for $10. Other food items include jambalaya, boudin, hot dogs and desserts. Children can play games, do crafts and jump in a bounce house. Entertainment consists of vendor booths, cake walk, music, raffles and silent auction. There is no entry fee. Rain or shine, join us for this fun event with something for all ages and all budgets! . Proceeds go towards the construction of a new church building.
