Mariam Fakhr El Dine the actress passed away last night as someone posted, it made me think about something. During a lifetime should a person accept her/his age in following accepted norms ? So what are accepted norms and who forms them ? Take the controversy of the century SABAH the singer/actress, she keeps on marrying the whole time, wears all sort of dresses, and people are criticizing her the whole time saying “ shame” or “ she should act her age” etc. Personally you might not agree or like what I want to say but I feel a person should do what one wants as long as it makes one feel happy and does no physical harm to anyone else. As long as the body can move AT ANY AGE and you want to feel alive , you want to live…why not. Why should one not do things that other people would either approve or disapprove in today’s world, where even sincere friendship is sometimes at stake when the goings gets tough for a person? People might call it disrespect if she does not act in a manner that they think is right, in other words again, “she should act her age and respect herself “. I don’t agree, I think one should do what one wants as long as there is no “ physical “ harm from those acts, like getting drunk and break things…sorry but this is what I believe.
