Marian Goodman is opening in London this week with a new Gerhard Richter show. Thats it for me. Im sure Ill go to Frieze but this is wonderful and something to get truly excited about. Corinna Belzs film on Richter called Painting (2011) has a marvellous sequence of Ms Goodman visiting the artist in his studio, and the delight both feel in each others presence is a joy. Belzs film is great, too - watching Richter slowly squoosh paint across the canvas is strangely enervating!
