Marijuana is fully legal in 2 states and medicinally legal in several others. My hometown, Eureka Springs, AR, while stopping short of decriminalization, has opted to legally de-emphasize possession. It is a non-primary offense, simple possession carries the penalty of a citation and $100.-- fine. Overall, Christians seem to show a division on the topic that is consistent with national statistics. These statistics show approximately a 5% margin in favor of keeping it illegal; however this is apt to change. The segment of the population which opposes legalization most fervently are retired and elderly. It is predicted that within the next decade these statistics will be inverted showing roughly a 5% margin in favor of legalization of marijuana. Should America legalize it?
