Marilyn and I spent 5 days in Montreal and Quebec City visiting wineries and winemakers, who use many of the same wines that we use. Like Frontenac! This is a sign post in Montreal. The second photo is our larger 160 liter press full of aronia berries. If you havent heard of aronia (sometimes called chokeberry), look it up on the net. It has more antioxidants than almost any other fruit. If you look on the National Institutes of Health website, youll find all kinds of studies about the healthfulness of this fruit. Like almost all high antioxidant fruits, its incredibly dark and full-bodied. The third photo shows the rich color and body of Aronia juice coming out of the press. Weve had a number of visitors taste our sample batch and theyre eager for it to be finished and in the bottle. At the Farmers Market site in Old Quebec almost on the same square as the Hotel Frontenac are these giant pumpkin replicas. Perhaps our local art center could do something like this at Riverside Park where OUR farmers market sits!
