Mark 5:25-26 KJV [25] And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, [26] And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, At a seasoned age of 17 years, we ran off and got married. Being so experienced in life, we knew every answer to every situation. I decided I was going to start smoking cigarettes (secretly), so I knew better than to have matches or a lighter on my person. I was one smart feller. I decided that I would use the cigarette lighter in the automobile, but it kept blowing fuses. Being so knowledgeable about cars, I knew how to fix the problem. Just take a piece of tinfoil and wrap it around the fuse, reinsert it into the fuse box and shes good to go! I went back into the house and secretly snickered under my breath knowing that the next morning I would have a cigarette (which I had hidden under the spare tire in the trunk) on the way to my new job. Five minutes later I was startled by a horn blowing in my driveway. I told my wife somebodys here and blowing the horn. Looking outside into the driveway all I could see was smoke coming from under the hood and filling the interior. I wound up having to divulge that I was secretly smoking. It wound up costing us several hundred dollars to have a new wiring harness installed into our car. Sometimes problems arise - no fault of our own... still we try to fix them just the same and wind up empty-handed. The woman in this passage of scripture had an issue of blood for 12 years. Whether it was a hemorrhage or whether it was a monthly cycle that would not stop, the fact is that she did everything in her power to stop the bleeding. Never mind the fact that she was considered unclean (according to the Levitical law) until she stopped bleeding... consider the weakness and fatigue she mustve had from losing blood over the long years, the separation from society because of her unclean condition, and the embarrassment she must have tried to hide. Finally, she threw in the towel of trying to fix it on her own and put it in the hands of Jesus. When she did this and touched the hem of his garment... blood flow stopped immediately and she was instantly healed! Without reservation of God if youll do it this way and make it fit into my plans... she cast it at his feet and said Im making a mess of things, I give it to you. Put it into Gods hands - Hes got this thing covered. Stop fretting over how youre going to change the bad situation at the workplace or if you do X and Y, a family crisis will be solved. Quit pacing the floor and worrying about whether you can take a second job on a part-time basis to help your money situation. Place your unwavering faith and trust in Almighty God. It aint no big thing to him. Lord God of our supply, like David, our back is against the wall. Weve done all that we know how to do and more too. How well we know that our efforts to help ourselves is futile. Of the truth, you are our source and every good and perfect gift comes down from above from the Father of lights in whom there is no variableness and no shadow of turning. By faith, we place our situation into your hands. Whatever you deem necessary to work this thing out for good, we yield to your will. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray, amen.
