Mark Burton 12 Willey Terrace Chatteris PE16 6UD ESA Appeals Cost Millions Dear Sir’s, Back in 2001 I became involved at the old Cambridge county court as a “McKenzie friend” for “FNF” and the now defunct “F4J”. My job was preparing court cases, evidence and court bundles for family divorce and child contact cases, I also litigated, prepared responses and challenged solicitors representations at court as well as “caff Cass” and £CSA” appeals and tribunals for people who could not afford solicitors. In recent years the stress and strain of doing this “free of charge” become so overwhelming I turned my attention to benefit appeals and tribunals instead and left the courts. Interestingly the same old misleading incompetent open to individual interpretation reports full of contradictions, errors and omissions still confront me some 12 years later. Not only from government departments and agencies but “medical services” “GP” Doctors reports and patients medical files. So it’s hardly surprising that 40 per cent of “ESA” appeals are upheld at tax payer’s expense. The latest DWP “Get Tough Tactics” consist of telephoning mental health patients who are unable to think or make decisions on their own behalf, and tell them their appeal doesn’t look very successful before the final decision hearing, and would they like to with draw their appeal in the mean time? If you refuse to withdraw your appeal, the DWP ask what evidence you are providing and if you will be providing any extra evidence to the appeal. This obviously weakens the strength of your appeal as the DWP have a pecuniary advantage in preparing a defence against your evidence before the final decision hearing. “NOTHING CHANGES!” Before i get inindated with pleas for help? i only help family and close friends these days. Yours Mark Burton
