Mark here. In light of Randys post the other day, I gotta give huge thanks to Randy as well for being my partner in crime with PwP! from day one. Also to Chris and Joe for joining us on this trip. Youll be hard pressed finding finer musicians than these guys to work with, and even harder pressed finding better people. Im one lucky dude. While the feels are still flowing, I thought Id make a PwP! Thanksgiving list of a few of the vgm bands were thankful for. In no particular order: - The Advantage - if theres a band we look to as being scripture for how to sound while playing this music, its these guys. - The Minibosses - almost the same level of reverence as The Advantage - Super Guitar Bros - Weve played a number of shows with these guys and its awesome hearing the beauty they can pull out of the music. - Arc Impulse - Been lucky enough to share the stage with them 3 times now. Great instrumentation/musicality/song-choice. Looking forward to the next time. - Bit Brigade - If you dont know them, then click on the link and get to know them. They put on a show that everyone on this planet needs to witness at least once. - Year 200X - Heavy. Awesome. Michiganders. An all-Michigan vgm show with them and SGB needs to happen. Wait, why hasnt it?! Well get on that. - Descendants of Erdrick - (and The Returners - VGM and Gimmick! Video Game Rock Band), these bands, formerly as one, form the Tri-Force of Texan VGM bands. It would be an honor to share the stage with them someday. They have great taste in choice of tunes as well. - tempsoundsolutions - If you want to hear a vgm tune played by a band and arent sure if its been covered, well, youre in luck, because these guys have done just about everything out there. And theyre no slouches at it too. Sure there are more that could and probably should be added, but these are the bands that jumped to mind first when making this list. If you werent familiar with any of these groups, go check them out and enjoy the wide world of VGM.
