Mark is a very dear friend of ours and we would appreciate it if you can help get the word out Thank you. Xoxo As many of you know, our father, Mark Spiegle, has been fighting lymphoma since 2009. He underwent extensive chemotherapy, radiation and an autologous stem cell transplant (using his own stem cells). Unfortunately, he was recently diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome, another blood cancer, and now his only hope for survival is an allogenic stem cell transplant (using donor cells). OneMatch is a program run by Canadian Blood Services that matches potential stem cell donors to patients in need. Currently, OneMatch is searching its worldwide registry to try and find a donor for our dad. In order to increase the chance of finding a donor we are sending this message out to everyone we know. Unfortunately, OneMatch only accepts new donors between ages 17-35. If you are willing to be checked, the initial step is to answer a few questions about yourself. After that, OneMatch sends you a kit and all you have to do is a simple cheek swab, following the instructions from the OneMatch Program. It takes literally a second and if you match, the safe process of donating will be thoroughly explained to you. If you are not a match for our father, you could possibly be a match for someone else who is also in desperate need. We are hoping to make this message go viral. Please pass it on to anyone you know who falls within this age group, as every person helps. Our father is an incredible man and those who know him adore him. He’s the type of person who enriches the lives of everyone around him. Please help us with this cause. It will be the most unselfish thing you can do and if you do match, you can help save a life - a gift that will change you forever. For more information and to begin the registration process to potentially save a life, just click: OneMatch Registration Please note-Time is of the essence so if you are willing to help please do so ASAP Thank you, Matt and Gillian Spiegle
