Marketing Assistant: The Wests Group Australia is a Newcastle owned and operated, not for profit organisation, providing exceptional entertainment, dining, accommodation and function facilities plus a range of health and fitness services. The Wests Group is looking for a Marketing Assistant to join their marketing team and assist with the marketing of its diverse range of products and services. This dynamic role is an ideal opportunity to gain exposure in all aspects of Marketing, in a multidisciplinary environment. Reporting to the Marketing Manager and working closely with the Marketing Executive, your focus will be to provide administrative support to the Marketing Department. The successful candidate will act as a support person to the team to help maximise the effectiveness of the sales and marketing activities. This role will begin in January 2014. Key responsibilities include: * Support multiple online and offline marketing campaigns * Administer the production of marketing material * Administer, monitor and collate information for website updates and implement social media strategy * Administer and monitor all promotional materials * Provide support within the Marketing and Functions team * Assist with the production, editing and proofing of marketing material To be successful in this role you should have the following: * Degree qualification in marketing discipline * Experience in providing administrative support * Ability to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, customers and colleagues * Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team environment * A quick learner, focused and highly motivated to succeed The successful applicant will be part of a small energetic team, with a fast paced work environment offering variety.
