Marlene and I had a date to the Texas State Fair. We saw Big Tex and sampled many treats, including deep-fried banana pudding, Grannys Funnel Cake, and a delightful concoction called deep-fried chocolate-covered strawberry waffle. Plus we had a Fletchers Corn Dog, grilled corn on the cob, sausage on a stick, lemonade, and Diet Coke, which cancels out any possible calories. Plus one piece of fudge. I ended up with sticky fingers and powdered sugar on my jeans, proving that I definitely had a good time.
