Marriage can be religious just as much as it can be secular. Not everyone in this world is the same religion. To stop gay people from getting married does not show religious freedom, it shows religious oppression. To say YOUR God does not believe in something and that should dictate the way others live their lives makes absolutely no sense. The Bible is not a legal document. Separation of church and state was put in place for a reason. To make the statement that gay people getting married would ruin the institution of marriage is nothing other than a hypothesis with NO PROOF to back it, it isnt a true statement of fact. Also, to say it is unnatural is purely ignorant. There is absolutely nothing more natural in the world than complexity. The complex gray areas of life we see every day and the intense complexity of everything in human nature. Sure, ignorance is bliss...but not when it is directly effecting the happiness of the citizens around us. Happiness= the only thing worth living for...thats all i gotta say.
