Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige talks a bit about all the MacGuffins (Plot devices of the past) and where they might all come together in the future... When asked if we can definitely see Thanos search for the Infinity Gauntlet (Which showed up in Marvels Thor in 2011) in Marvels The Avengers 3, Feige says, Well, I don’t know that I would spell it out that clearly, necessarily. But certainly fans of the comics could surmise that all of this is leading somewhere. That Joss’ decision to have Thanos turn around and smile for the audience at the end of ‘Avengers’, our reveal, was always the plan. He then continued to hint that major plot devices from Marvels The Avengers and next months Thor: The Dark World will tie directly into the events of Marvels Guardians of the Galaxy, next year. …And where it goes from there, we’ll see… But yes, the MacGuffin of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ certainly plays into MacGuffins of the past. Also, got a neat tidbit of news here regarding the mid-credits scene of Marvels Thor: The Dark World. And its actually something that has been mentioned in the past by one of the actors... Wont point it out specifically, but I will give the warning... SPOILER!!! Benicio Del Toro WILL be featured as the cosmic being THE COLLECTOR in the mid-credits scene of Marvels Thor: The Dark World before making a full appearance in Marvels Guardians of the Galaxy in 2014.
