FYI lang ha, a worker earning an equivalent of Php 500,000 in Singapore pays only 2% income tax. In Vietnam, the tax rate is 20% while in Malaysia and Thailand, it is 11% and 10%, respectively. Despite their low personal tax rates, these states manage to provide good transportation system for their citizens and a whole lot more! Sa Pinas, 32% ang tax rate idagdag mo pa ang 12% na VAT and yet anong services meron tayo?! WALA!!! We have the HIGHEST personal income tax rate among our Asian neighbors but I dont feel/see/hear the value of it. WHERE DO OUR TAXES GO?! HINDI BA ITO DAPAT ANG ISSUE?! Dyosko! WE HAVE TO DEMAND!!! Hindi ba kapag nag-check in tayo sa isang mahal na hotel, ang dami-dami nating hinahanap amenities na kesyo dapat may heater, may TV, ref, soper lambot na kama, poging attendant etc.?! Tapos kapag walang mga ganito magrereklamo tayo sa hotel management?! We should do the same in this case. We paid our taxes diligently thus we have the right to demand!!! For the sake of discussion, sige, papayag ako sa fare increase provided na a) gagana lahat ng escalators and elevators para di na ako maglalakad; b) never na ako makakaranas ng pila papasok at palabas ng station; c) dapat and’yan na agad ang train within 2 minutes pagkaapak ko sa platform; d) never na akong maiipit sa loob ng train; e) mararamdaman ko ang malakas na aircon sa loob ng train LAGI; f) makakaupo ako lagi kapag nakasakay; g) makakarating ako sa destination ko in 10 minutes, h) never ko mae-experience ang defective train and i) dapat poging guy lagi ang katabi ko sa train. KUNG HINDI ITO MAGAGAWA, wala kayong karapatan na itaas ang fare! To all my fans: PLEASE LANG. Don’t buy the narrative that MRT/LRT fare hike is already long overdue because this is precisely the story that they want to feed us! It’s extremely irking every time I hear this bullshit! Sa lahat ng mga Pinoy na naniniwala sa argument na ito, EH DI KAYO NA LANG PO ANG SUMALO NG FARE HIKE SINCE TANGGAP N’YO NA PALA ‘YAN! By all means, kayo na lang magbayad ng fare increase. Yes, mahal maging tanga sa panahong ito at hindi ko napapatawad ang bobo especially dun sa may mg access sa internet. I have a very low tolerance for people who have skewed arguments.
