Maryan : A well crafted movie. Its more of a lovestory than an espionage film, though its based on a true story of a fisherman who escaped from the terrorist camp in Sudan. Maryan depends mostly on the performances of protagonists and the stunning visuals. Kudos to the lead actors and the Cinematographer. Dhanush as always gave a credible act . Parvathy was electrifying and her eyes speak volumes. Terrific Intensity on her part and suited the role of PaniMalar to the T. She has got this raw appeal to her which really drags to your attention. A fantastic actress to watch out. 5/5 for her performance. And of course, The A.R.Rahman. Good Music - "Nenjaiii Thodu..." was the Best. BharatBala could have concentrated more on the screenplay. Lack of imagination is clearly visible in the second half of the film. But overall its a worth a watch. Verdict:3/5 (Good)
