Marylin Parsell May 17, 1937 - August 11, 2013 Marylin Parsell of Caro, age 76, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 17, 1937 in Bay City, the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Beach) Schulte. Marylin was employed for several years as a clerk/cashier at Clint’s in Akron and then as office manager at Bill’s Foodland in Caro. Marylin was united in marriage with Gary Parsell on September 13, 1998 in Lake Tahoe, California. She enjoyed playing cards, stained glass, painting and traveling. Marylin attended the Colwood United Brethren Church in Caro. Marylin is survived by her husband, Gary Parsell of Caro; one daughter and son-in-law, Denise & Robert Dunham of Caro; five grandchildren, Josh & Jenn Dunham of Caro, Adam & Sabrina Dunham of North Carolina, Ashley & Noah Cruz of Texas, Brandi & Josh Robinson of South Carolina, Lacey & Jacob Stark of California; four great-grandchildren; three step-children, Dawn & Dan Vandemark of Kingston, Lian Parsell of Caro, Troy & Anne Parsell of Caro; step-grandchildren, Tad Vandemark of Caro, Kyle Vandemark of California, Tyler & Aubrey Vandemark of St. Johns, Brice Vandemark of Caro; Emily & Lawrence Bombac of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Drew Mowrey of Kansas, Geoffrey Mowrey of Kansas, Abby Mowrey of Kansas, Amber Parsell of Ann Arbor, Katie & Josh Whipple of Caro, Bethany & Mike Edwardson of Grand Rapids, Sarah Parsell of Grand Rapids, Andrew Parsell of Caro; many step-great-grandchildren; her siblings, Charlotte Thompson of Bay City, Kathy Nassif of Bay City, Earl & Judy Schulte of Bay City, Joann Thompson of Caro, Patty Jo & Pat Groves of Merrill; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa Steffek; two brothers-in-law, Herbert & Carl Thompson. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at the Colwood United Brethren Church in Caro with Pastor Russ Tibbits officiating. Burial will follow at Almer Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to Heartland Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
