Mason and I often talk about false masculinity within NZ and especially within the Trades; where he has outworked a lot of his career or just to get by. It has tortured his soul to be treated and see others treated the way Tradies do within the culture. My Dad as well copping a lot of it, untimely shaping his Character. I am thankful that through this humble taxing career he has now being able to post himself with Jamie/ Olivia and there Team of builders and laborers. Even if this Job is only for a short season it has really boosted Masons self confidence and camaraderie with Christian/likeminded mates who get it and a willing to outwork a different worksite type of communication and laughs. And now He has finally found room to have energy to write his creative childrens stories thanks Guys. I am eternally greatful. Hopefully in time many of you great Men in the Trades can share this journey and the possibility for change in what it means to be a Man to help reduce violence, isolation, save marriages, and for young girls to have back their Daddys.
