Mason is a sweet young boy who we suspect is either a German Short Haired Pointer or Catahoula Mix. He is housebroken, great with other dogs and children of all ages (he absolutely adores our 19-month-old and is very gentle around him), and not food aggressive. He is also politely curious about our house cat. Inside, he enjoys following us around and snuggling. Outside, he is very energetic and especially loves chasing water from the hose. His energy and willingness to please makes him a great prospect for a hunting or running partner! He understands how to play with his people carefully and loves wrestling with other dogs, but needs a firm Thats All to help him settle down. We are working on his major vice of jumping on people in greeting- he only does this when he suspects the person wont correct him and make him sit. Mason stays inside the house without problems, so separation anxiety is minimal, but he will chew things if they are more conveniently located than his own toys. He is also accustomed to a crate and will wait patiently in it. Mason is an amazing boy, and will make a fabulous addition to a family that wants a true companion.
