Master Gardener Core Course (12 Sessions) Welcome Dinner & Orientation: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m When: Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, Where: Pulaski County Extension Center 301 Historic 66 E., Suite 127 Waynesville, MO 65583 Master Gardener Core Course: September 5 through October 24 (once a week) 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m extension.missouri.edu/calendar/DisplaySingleEvent.aspx?E=216131&S=1 Registration deadline: 8/9/2013 Class size: 30 Anyone interested in becoming a Master Gardener can apply to take the fall 2013 core course. The course will start with an orientation on Thursday, August 22 from 6-9:30 pm and there after will run once a week from September 5 through October 24, 2013 at the Pulaski County Courthouse 301 Historic 66 East, Waynesville, MO 65583. Some refreshments will be provided. The course fee is $125, which includes all classes, meals at the orientation, field trip lunches, handouts and other materials at the classes, and a name tag and certificate upon completion of the course. On an hourly basis, that amounts to less than $3 per hour of class time! The Master Gardener Core Manual notebook is available for purchase for an additional $30; alternatively, all Core Manual materials are available online at no charge. PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE ON AN AS-NEEDED BASIS. The registration period will be open through August 9, 2013. Registrations will be taken on a first come basis. Registrations may be submitted now with a $25 deposit with all fees due by August 9th. For the first time in the history of Master Gardener trainings, there will also be the option for members of the general public to audit individual classes of interest. The fee for auditing a Thursday night class is $15 and the fee for auditing a field trip is $35 (includes a box lunch).
