Mataking is looking for a Resident Marine Biologist to join our team latest at the beginning of July This is a single position only. The main tasks of the resident marine biologist are: - be in charge of our Sea Turtle Conservation Program, including a hatchery and nest adoption program and managing a team of local turtle patrollers. - educate our guests with various presentations (turtles, corals), boards, activities. - be in charge of our newly launched Coral Conservation Project, including coral adoption frames etc.. - assist in Reef Surveys, - propose new activities and projects. You MUST: - have a degree in marine biology (Sea turtles and Coral Conservation experience a big asset). - be a PADI Divemaster or higher (Reef Check Eco Diver or Trainer an asset). - speak fluent English, as you will make presentations in front of audiences, but more languages an asset, especially Bahasa Malaysia and/or Mandarin. - be able to work independently, and have your own laptop.
