Match Corner Friendly (F-6 Multi-purpose Ground) Saints 4-0 Piranhas The Whites had held a special performance long over-due and it came with the rise of the sun today as the People’s club humbled one of the best teams of the city, the Piranhas. The Saints marched on with their usual belief in youthful bunch of home-grown lads including the emerging quad-core of Ali Sajjad (14), Saad Abbasi (16), Ozil (16) and Muhammad Masud (17). Talha Nadeem, playing against his former employers started between the sticks as Abbasi, Ali Sajjad, Ozil, Ali Imran, Armoghan and Muhammad constituted the outfield. The Whites dominated things from the word “GO” and it was Ali Imran who broke the deadlock with a left footed shot into the bottom right corner of the Piranhas goal from outside of the box; nearly ten minutes of play having being commenced. 1-0 While Ali Abbasi and Ali Sajjad hardly put a step wrong to nullify the threat of Ahmed Sheriff, Armoghan, Muhammad Masud and Ozil combined brilliantly upfront to retain possession of the ball in abundance. Ahsan bhai went in for the goal scorer after 20 minutes of play and assisted a superb move involving Armoghan and Muhammad, only for Ozil to apply the finishing touches to a scintillating move. 2-0 Mehdi and Saad Abbasi entered the fray as Talha came up to partner up with Abassi in defense. The Whites soon added a third after another swift move, this time Ahsan bhai doing the honours. 3-0 It was Muhammad Masud who added the cherry, on top of the icing, on top of the cake as his right footed shot swished the back of the net. 4-0 it finished.
