Match Reviews Sun 24 Nov: Better late than never – here’s a quick catch-up of today’s ACO fixtures. First in action this morning will be our Soccer 7 Stars – the U9s visit Loanhead Miners in a rearranged fixture, the U10s Blacks and Blues host Leith Athletic and Lochend respectively, the U11 Blacks have an enforced day off and finally the U11 Blues visit Dovecote Park to Meet Currie Star Gold. Good luck everyone and enjoy your games! Our U13s have a tough trip in prospect to meet Gala Fairydean Rovers in the 3rd round of the Lothian Buses Cup – the winners will be in the hat for the quarter-final draw. The U14s can cement themselves in the top spot of D4 if they take all 3 points from today’s games against Preston Athletic. Wins for the chasing pack will see them continue to trail AC by 3 points. It’s a big word renaissance, but so is the team who deserve this label – our U15s have picked themselves up in recent weeks to put together an astonishing 4 game unbeaten run and today’s D3 opponents, Preston Athletic, will no doubt test AC to the limit. 5 in a row? Don’t bet against it. Last up today are our U16s who host Loanhead Miners at CMP in a 2pm KO. Don’t be fooled by their respective league standings (AC 3rd, LM 8th) as the home side have quite a few games in hand over the Miners. A win for AC will propel them into 2nd spot in D2. Home advantage and a full strength squad could swing things AC’s way. Results as they come in will be posted on the usual outlets.
