Matchday!!!!!! The Bundesliga giants who include World Cup winners Julian Draxler and Benedikt Howedes in their squad arrive at the Lane for a 5.30pm kick-off. For the first time Spurs step out on home turf since May and represent a first home match for the new Head Coach Mauricio Pochettino. The game will allow two players to play against their former clubs, with Kevin-Prince Boateng returning to White Hart Lane after spending two years at Spurs between 2007 and 2009 while Lewis Holtby moved to Spurs from Schalke in January 2013. Holtby has featured in all four of Spurs warm-up matches to date – scoring against Seattle Sounders and Celtic. Schalke will be hoping for better result against English opposition, last week they lost 7-6 on penalties to West Ham United following a goalless draw and 3-1 to Newcastle United in a tournament they hosted. Mauricio Pochettino suggested in the match preview to Spurs TV that most of the World Cup players are not match fit and hence wont take part in the match. Spurs will have to be at their best if they are to remain unbeaten throughout pre-season as Jens Keller’s team are preparing for their sixth Champions League campaign in the past nine seasons. They have two class forwards in Holland’s Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Jefferson Forfan of Peru who scored over 20 Bundesliga goals between them. #COYS
