A) The N.T. – encourages us to make seeking God a priority 1) However – it emphasizes that God seeks us - much more than we seek Him a) and recognizes that people find God (ultimately) 1. because Jesus “…came to seek and to save what was lost." (Luke 19:10) A. and was prepared to search for one lost sheep out of a 100 (Luke 15) 2) BUT – that should (only) be viewed as an encouragement to us a) for still the N.T. renews the O.T. invitation “seek and you will find” (Matt.7:7) 1. and affirms that God rewards those who go on seeking Him in faith
