Matt Cat, the Grandfather of ws, died at 1:08 this morning after a 6 month battle with kidney failure. He died warm and safe in his bed, with his ws girlfriend Poppy Lane laying near him. Matt Cat was a gentle and wise old man, who never caused a scene or a problem. He spent the last few years of his life sunning himself in the window, eating, and sleeping. He wasnt one for grooming, but sure didnt mind if Poppy Lane or I did it for him. He ate 2-3 cans of food a day, and would swallow Temptation treats whole. He never played with a toy, and he never saw the thrill of cat nip. He had the most beautiful, pale green eyes, that like his head, were always downcast. I used to tell him, Lift your head Matt Cat, so I can see your eyes. He was named Matt Cat for the severe matting that occurred to his coat outside, where he could not take care of it properly. He was really happy to be indoors and be able to sleep undisturbed for prolong periods of time. I am honored to have been your friend, Matt cat. You were the epitome of a gentleman. God speed my friend. I will take his body for cremate/return tonight, and he will return to his old home this May. The plate of fur, is from the first time I combed him.
