Matt Harvey Division Semi-Finals Game 3 Results: The Transporters top RCV Home Improvement behind Gary Passiks 5 hits, 31-30 An outstanding effort by Gary Passik spurred The Transporters to a 31-30 win in seven innings over RCV Home Improvement on Saturday at Jones Beach (West Field). Gary racked up six RBIs on five hits for The Transporters. He doubled in the second and third innings, homered in the fourth inning, and singled in the fifth and sixth innings. Both squads had things going at the plate, tallying 60 runs and 51 hits, including 17 extra base hits. The game was back-and-forth heading into the fifth, with 14 lead changes. Even though Jordan Grosshandler allowed 28 runs over seven innings he still recorded the victory. He struck out none, walked six and surrendered 31 hits. The Transporters pounded RCV Home Improvement pitching, as eight hitters combined for 20 hits, 30 RBIs and 29 runs scored. The Transporters scored four runs of its own in the first. The Transporters scored on a two-run double by Matt Frost and a two-run single by Chris Drogaris. After a quick strike from RCV Home Improvement, The Transporters responded with nine runs in the second. The Transporters scored on an RBI single by Stephen Li, a walk by Jimmy Morales, an RBI single by Matt Frost, an RBI single by Jordan, a walk by Christian Varon, a sacrifice fly by Chris, a walk by Stephen Li, and a two-run double by Gary. The Transporters got seven-run rallies in the third inning and the fourth. In the third, The Transporters scored on a walk by Joseph Reilly, scoring Jordan. It didnt take long for The Transporters to answer as it scored seven runs of its own in the fourth. The Transporters scored on a three-run home run by Stephen Li, a solo home run by Gary, a two-run triple by Christian, and an RBI single by Chris.
