Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. On this Christmas Morning father we pause to say thank you. Father we thank you for being mindful of sinful man after the disobedience in the garden. Father we thank you for changing your mind giving us a way out of our death sentence. Father we realize according to Romans 6:23 that the wages of sin is death. But we thank you this morning that we can claim the gift of God this morning which is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Father we thank you for laying out your plan for us in Genesis 1:26; And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. Father we thank you for the new testament example of your plan in John 1:1; In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Father we thank you for carrying out that plan in John 1:14 which gave us to know that; the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us. We pause early this morning to say thank you. We also say Happy Birthday Jesus we thank you for giving your life and taking our place becoming the payment for sin for us. Father we realize that if Christ had not been born we wouldnt be where we are today. Many of us would not be alive today and for the gift of eternal life we say thank you. Father on this Christmas morning help us to realize the true meaning of the day and make our way to your house to say thank you. For those who do not have corporate worship on today I pray that you bring conviction you the hearts and minds of every pastor who cancelled todays worship out of convenience for the people. Father draw the hearts and minds back to the purpose of this season which is salvation from our sins. Father we thank you for 1 John 3:8 For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Help us to put Christ back in Christmas. Help us in this hour to come out the closet and be openly holy. Help us to be the light shining in this last day that will draw others to this great gift. Father help us this morning not to fall prey to the tactics of the enemy. Help us to give us to understand the correct meaning of Acts 20:35; It is more blessed to give than to receive. Help us to be givers and not have our hands out. Help people not to see the church for what the people will provide for them. Give people in this generation the correct understanding of the role of the church in their lives. Father we pray for the spouses of every Pastor, Apostle, Bishop and church leader. Help them not to view the church as the other man or woman taking up all their spouses time. Father give them the same compassion for the work of the ministry as their spouse. I pray even now that they understand that their role as the spouse does not affect their spouses decisions as the leader of the church or ministry that you have given them to lead. Help them differentiate the difference between their role in the home and their assignment in the church. Father touch the hearts and minds of every church member help them not to shortchange the church when it comes to things that the church out ministries may need. Help us not to place more value on the things in our homes over what we think should be in the church. Help us to desire the best things for your house, even over the things that we place in our house that we not waste money replacing things because we were buying things of less quality. Father as we go through this day we pray that your name is exalted. That the message of Christ resounds across our homes and the homes that we visit. Father as we talk to our loved ones unstop the deaf ears which have been shut by the enemy. Let them hear and receive the correct interpretation of who Jesus is and what he came to do. Help them to understand today Christs role in their lives and the things that they must do to walk in the benefits that accompany salvation. Father I pray that unity and peace spring forth in every family where there has been division and discord. Father let those parents who havent heard from their child recieve a knock at the door and see their child once more. For those children who are incarcerated grant them favor today with the wardens and guards that they might call home today in Jesus name. Let there be peace today in the prisons and jails that there be no lock downs in Jesus name. Father we pray for those who have lost loved ones in this past year who are having to go through their first Christmas without seeing their loved ones. Father grant them peace even now in Jesus name. Father we claim a Philippians 4:7 blessing that the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep their hearts and minds today through Christ Jesus. We bind the spirit that causes grief to the point of attempted suicide in Jesus name. Father we pray that you be with everyone who is experiencing loneliness today. Give them to be invited to the home of someone in which they can enjoy their company without the temptation of sin in Jesus name. Father as we go through this day help us to be mindful of others. Help us to remember the widows and the orphans. Father grant those feeding the homeless today usual favour with the authorities and property owners. I pray that not one drop of food fails until after the last person has been served. I pray not only for the protection of those serving but for the homeless today in Jesus name. Keep back the hand of the enemy. Hold back the hand of the murderer today the rapist, the pedophile today in Jesus name. Cover every bus driver, taxi driver, police officer, emt worker, fireman, neighborhood store clerk, anyone working today in Jesus name. Father even as you have blessed us give us how to be a blessing to someone else today in Jesus name. We thank you again Holy Father for Jesus. We thank you Jesus for the gift of salvation and for those of us who have received him the gift of the Holy Ghost. Let everything that we do this day in your name be blessed today in Jesus name. Amen.
