Matthew 12:36, But I tell you that every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment. This should be a very sobering word to each of us. Have you ever had a hurtful word spoken against you and even if it is untrue the accusation plays over and over in your mind? Sometimes those words wound so deeply that they hinder us if we let them. We must take even those thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ and let Him speak truth and healing over all the wounds and lies of the enemy. As far as it is up to each of us may we filter our words through the Holy Spirit. Once our words are released, they cannot be taken back. Let us not be those who wound and let us not repay evil for evil but hold our peace until we have permission from The Lord to speak. May our words bring life to others not cursing and death. Proverbs 25:11, Like apples of gold in settings of silver Is a word spoken in right circumstances.
