Matthew 24:12 Because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. Dont Allow Your Love to Grow Cold Can I encourage you to step back and take a look around this world? What I mean is - take the time to look globally at what is going on at this time. It can seem overwhelming I know, but rather than concluding that everything seems to be falling apart, know this, according to the Bible everything is falling right into place. We need not fear when we realize that were living today because the Lord has appointed us to be here at this juncture of human history for a very specific reason. Each of us is alive for such a time as this. Living in this day and hour is to be living in biblically-prophetic times. Pre-recorded, biblical events are either being set up or fulfilled right before our eyes. Honestly, the prophecies of these Last Days seem to be on a fast-track. We are witnessing the signs of the Bible all around us and they can be quite disturbing if you do not know how it will all end. As Christians, real Jesus followers, we have a clear mandate, a calling, and a destiny for these days and it is to finish our lives well for the glory of God. We are to be walking with Jesus Christ with a determined vision and a laser-like focus on biblical truth. The doctrines of the Bible were here before we arrived and they will continue to be long after we are gone. Gods truth is eternal and unchanging. Those who have no knowledge of this have been blinded by human feelings and worldly desires. The ever-changing and morphing opinions of man are as unstable as the sea. Yet Gods eternal, forever, dependable Word is firm and sure. Heres but one example of the biblically-practical prophesies of Jesus Christ ...regarding the days in which we now live, Jesus said: Because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. - Matthew 24:12. Jesus and His disciples walked amidst incredible idolatry and sin in Israel, just like we do today. Instead of catering or yielding to it, Jesus taught them as He teaches us, to be on-guard against the spirit-of-this-world, which seeks today to pull us away from God and His love by every means possible. Jesus words imply a specific calling for us: Dont allow your love for God to grow cold! Pastor Jack
