Matthew 29: 2-4 And the woman shall not accept her suitor if he is unwilling to attend, accept or is not a fan of her church. (the massage translation) Got word today that some women have been told by their pastors that they cannot marry anyone who is against their church, he must be a member of their church or no show. So, I decided to quote the scripture that backs this up. Yeah right, there is none! The massage translation, simply means they are massaging their egos. Surveys have shown that women are more diligent with their giving, so a greedy pastor does not want to lose his female members, notice this same rule does not apply to men. The sad thing is that if one really digs into this, it is so unbiblical. First and foremost, we are Christians and NEVER were we bound to denominations, saying that unless another Christian is a member of your church, he cannot marry your member is really saying that you believe in a hierarchy, class, snobbish separatist system, which is not in any way a part of the Christian doctrine. This is not a church but a membership club, because they alone have exclusivity, Christianity is a free for all movement, not even a club. If you are in one of these places, please, this is not a message about your pastor, its a message about your salvation, it is never tied into man made doctrines, but in GODs doctrine, but note that man made doctrines that look nice and fancy, can end up signing you up for something that is totally against GODs principles...≈KDL®™©2014
