Matthew 6:33 (NKJV) But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Put God First. We often receive emails from people asking us how to know what Gods purpose is for their life. We also get emails asking us how to become closer to God. Have you ever wondered about this in your own life? The answer to this is actually in the two questions above. You see, the key to knowing Gods purpose for your life is to draw closer to God. So as we spend time pondering on how to become closer to God, were also delaying finding our purpose in life. So how do we know our purpose in life? Heres the key. We stop worrying about what our purpose is. We spend time drawing near to God and pressing in to Him, growing our relationship with Him. As we do this, we become more in tune with His spirit and learn to hear His voice more clearly and as we build our relationship with Him, we also become more obedient. And this happens without us even thinking specifically about what our purpose is! So today, if we are children of God, instead of worrying about trying to find our purpose in life, lets just press in to Him and learn to love Him, being thankful and obedient. In doing this, we will begin to walk out His calling and purpose for our lives without having to work at it so hard and spend so much time trying to figure out what it is that were supposed to be doing.
